BlankYesterday when attempting to make up an interface unit VE7RF
suggested I use to preclude hot-switching of my Henry 3K-A Amplifier =
when driven by my Yaesu FT1000D, I found a problem with correct pin =
identifications on the Band Data Plug/Receptacle.

The 8 pin mini DIN plug I purchased from "The R. F. Connection" do not =
have the same numbers as the pin arrangement as the pin numbers shown in =
the Yaesu FT1000D Manual on page 7. The numbers are clearly stamped on =
the molded 8 pin mini DIN and DO NOT AGREE with the pin numbers shown in =
the figure at bottom of page 7.

Does the Yaesu FT1000D Manual have a mistake in identifying the pins in =
the photographic illustration figure or did the DIN plug manufacturer =
have an error on the mold used to make the insert??????????????? The =
plug I have mates mechanically correct with the receptacle on the back =
of the FT1000D and looks like an upside down "U".

PER THE YAESU MANUAL "BAND DATA FIGURE" AT BOTTOM OF PAGE 7.
(Facing the mating side of the plug and moving in a clockwise =
direction from the key at the bottom of plug insert)
   7
   1
   4
   2
   5
   3
   8
6 in the middle of plug

PER THE PIN NUMBERS STAMPED ON THE SOLDER SIDE OF THE 8 PIN MINI DIN =
PLUG
(Facing the solder side of the plug and moving in a clockwise =
direction from the key at bottom of plug)
   6
   1
   4
   2
   5
   3
   7
8 in the middle of the plug

Don't know which to believe and since their are voltages on certain pins =
that the interface, I certainly don't want to damage my FT1000D because =
of an error or mistake.

Can any of you tell me which if either one is correct?????
Would appreciate your responses and if you like can E-Mail me direct at =
the addys below or post on the Yaesu reflector either one. Thanks!
