Does anyone know if you use the reset of all menu settings to factory =
default using the 29/0 plus power on effects the hidden menu's?. The =
reason I ask is that the rig I have was bought from what I know was a =
CBer. Unfortunately I think he thought he had a great deal of technical =
knowledge regarding this 1000MP. I doubt it and when I first fired up =
the 1000MP I found several of the menu's set wrong for SSB operations. =
He knew about the hidden menu's and discussed it with me.
I have compared several of the bandpass settings in menu 9-1 with a good =
friend who also has a 1000MP and the settings I am currently using are =
significantly different than his. I can believe that the bandpass =
settings would be that much different from rig to rig. I realize that =
the hidden menus were factory set but I am concern that the other guy =
may have played with them, If I use the reset function as described on =
page 102 of the operating manual will I get a reset of the hidden =
menu's?
Does the technical manual available form Yaesu describe the settings for =
the hidden menu's and the test equipment needed? Is there any archives =
available that may discuss the hidden menu functions.
Thank in advance for any suggestions or comments. Since I installed the =
upgrades to the 1000MP with the power mod, spurious 15meter mod and the =
new IRAD IF amp the rig lives up to all the billings and I am a proud =
Owner.
