Yes, I may just take it out to an unused RCA connector on the FT-1000MP rear
panel. In looking at the changes required, all Yaesu needed to include was:
1) RCA connector
1) 10 pF disk coupling capacitor
12" of RG-174 coax
Conservatively, this brings the total additional expense of the rig to less
than one U.S. dollar, even on a single unit price basis! In actual
production, I suspect the additional cost to Yaesu would have been a
fraction of this. I keep asking the question.....why?
