[Yaesu] FT-101 tube replacement

I have purchased a pair of 6JS6C (NOS) GE finals for my FT-101B.
Have heard about the little mod which is necessary.
Is this also necessary for the B, type or only for the E, EE ?
And is this all I have to do?
Has anyone made experiences with the GE 6JS6C tubes in an FT-101?
