Hi--

I agree with your view about whether to use the 1000MP (A great rig!)
with QSK or not with an amp.

Well, I use a non-QSK, Dentron 2500A with a small Yaesu external
relay box for amp control.  The break-in delay you mentioned is what
I also use and it functions nicely.

True, the 'MP does seem to have an internal "sturdy-type" amp control
relay, but I feel that it's easier to repair an/or replace an external
unit
rather than open up & "dig into" today's modern rigs.

No doubt, a true QSK amp should be able to handle QSK-type usage.
