I got a used FT990 for a second radio and am having trouble interfacing
it to CT (or any other program...). I'm using the same FIF-232C that I
use with the 1000.
It hangs the radio and blanks the audio when the radio is polled and
doesn't really do anything that it's supposed to do. I have a stand
alone CAT driver that works well with the 1000 but it won't do squat
with the 990.
Is the 990 like the 1000 and need a ROM load after a certain version to
work reliably ? My 990 is a vintage 1991 and has Version 1.20.
