In April 1996, KD5VC posted a mod on this reflector for the FT-1000 (not
"D"). The same mod also appeared in the June 1996 QST "Hints & Kinks"
column. The mod and the QST article described how to clip and add
diodes in the filter selection circuit to pair the 2nd IF 250Hz filter
with the 3rd IF 500Hz filter when the optional 250Hz 3rd IF filter
(Yaesu's "XF-F") is not installed. I am having trouble locating the
components referenced in the mod, and my attempts to contact KD5VC for
help/clarification have been unsuccessful. Can anyone please help with
either specific identification of the components (diodes) involved or
with information on how I can contact KD5VC for details?
