The value I ended up with is 10K, which is what Yaesu recommended. Made all
the difference in the world over the original performance. I can send you a
copy of the board photo marked if it would help (address needed). I have
the Service Manual.

Subject: [Yaesu] FT-900 NB Mod
Hello everyone,
I know that quite a bit has been posted here on the FT-900 mod that improves
the NB performance.
Can anyone provide me with detailed information on where the resistor to be
changed is located on the RF board? What value does a good job? I've heard
anything between 5 and 15 kiloohms.
I heard that the NB problem was only existent in early models of the FT-900.
Any comments on that?
Thank's for any help.
