Jim,

It happens on 40 and 80 but not so far apparent on 20 or 15. Switching 
bandwidth has no effect when in the fault condition.

I shall get it apart and look for any intermittent connectors, hopefully 
this weekend. I've rarely had a reed relay give problems, then always open 
or closed, so will ignore that path for now.
