Whoooaaa Jerry,

Be careful there. S3N has a temp coefficient of -3300ppm/C and a tolerance
of +-2500ppm/C . Don't think you want to use these in the finals section of
any rig. You'll definitely need to use "NP0" or "COG" rated caps.

As mentioned before, find some ceramic NP0 caps. They usually have a black
top painted on the disc. Silver mica caps are preferred in transmitters as
they usually have a tolerance of 5% (typical caps have a tolerance anywhere
from 20% to 80%).

I might have some 82pf silver micas around, but I don't know if they're
rated for 500v. Let me know if you can't find a local source.

Hello again Guillermo,
I was able to find a package of Hi-Q 82PF 10% 1k volt S3N Ceramic Caps to
use as replacements in my 101E. I also checked the same 80pf cap at the
transmit relay and it is showing signs of resistance break-down as well, so
I am going to replace both of the original moulded mica caps with the new
ones while I'm in there.

Thanks again for all of the tips to all,
73 Jerry
