[Yaesu] FT-1000D PSK31 Soundcard Interface

I'm helping a friend interface his FT-1000D to a soundcard for PSK31.  Not
knowing the FT-1000D very well, I am planning to put rig AF output receive audio
jack through a 1:1 audio isolation transformer to soundcard line input, and the
rig phone patch audio input through an adjustable resistive divider network and
audio isolation transformer to the soundcard line output.  Anyone have luck
using these interface ports on the FT-1000D for PSK31?
