The FT-200 was made in the mid to late 70's, allegedly similar to, but more
economical than the FT-101. I don't believe it had 160 meters. From what I
understand, it was marketed in the UK, Cananda, and Europe as the FT-200.
In the USA, it was imported and marketed by Henry Radio as the Tempo One.
Late 1970's QST ran ads for the Tempo and the Fox Tango newsletter referred
to it occasionally. I recall that it was rather popular with CBers.
Probably because, like the
FT-101, it was one of the few amateur radios that had both 11 meters AND AM.
(or maybe they just put an 11 meter crystal in one of the 10 meter spots).
The Tempo was in the $400 range, while the FT-101 was in the $600 range
which also appealed to the CBer who wanted a little more radio for not a lot
more bucks. The manual is supposedly available on
http://bama.sbc.edu/henry.htm . I say supposedly because I almost always
cannot download their ftp stuff.

73's.
