I haven't seen anything here about encryption that I haven't read quite some time ago in the magazines. About 25 years ago, when I was involved with SINGCARS, I was somewhat surprised to find that I

In SSB and CW modes, the peak voltage on the plate is the power supply voltage. How come? The plate voltage swings from its supply down to some voltage ( normally about the 'knee' of the curve) and t

I've remeasured the intermodulation characteristics of my 4CX1000A amplifier Do you use any negative feedback? It looks pretty good to me, but it would be interesting to drop in a 4CX1500B, which is

One should also bear in mind that the 'professional' point to point ISB links (such few as are left now!) are typically rated at -36dB on PEP for a 2 tone test, so the results look pretty good to me.

Does any on here use air tools in their electronics shop? No, but I know a number of model engineers who do. Usual problem is that the air reservoir isn't big enough for continuous tool use. A lot de

You could try to find someone with a working amp and ask them to try it upright and on its side. That will invert the sideband! 73 Peter G3RZP _______________________________________________ Amps mai
