I suspect something is wrong also but I think it is in the design and not in any particular component failure. I've done the usual Google search and found the loading problem is common with this amp.

Update on the suspected loading problem with the Dentron MLA-2500 amp. As suggested by so many I loaded the amp up using a non-inductive dummy load. Using the dummy load the loading cap is loading as
