- There is a simple solution. I use a 9V battery and a pot to set an appropriate/fixed ALC voltage to my 746 for the drive power I want. Works like a charm and no overshoots. 73 Bert, VE3NR The problem

- That is unfortunately not correct. I used to live in Sweden and the distribution system there was 3-phase 380V and approx. 220 between one phase and ground. Nowadays it's changed to a 3-phase system

- Well, the electrical distribution system in NA is old and outdated. EU has a much better system where most homes have a 3-phase system which allow the loads to be evenly distributed. OMHO! 73 Bert, V

- I don't think Penetrox is a good idea for a roller inductor. As far as I know, Penetrox is only conductive if put under pressure. I would suggest one of the CAIG DeOxit products, e.g. DeOxit 5. Bert
