Al, A 50 Hz transformer is a larger beast than a 60 Hz (more iron in it for the same power out). Really, you can say a 50 Hz transformer is a 50/60 Hz but not vice-versa. In other terms, the core wou

Al, Without looking at the Heath manuals on these, I'm not sure what frequency they were made to run at (50, 60, or both). Although Heath had two different types of equipment if I recall, some manufa

Roger, I just picked up a Heath manual for a IG-28 color generator which was laying here on the desk to see what it said. It shows its transformer running at either 120 or 240 Vac and at 50 or 60 Hz.

Bob, That settles it then, I'd say Heath built about everything with 50 Hz transformers, or at least after a certain year I imagine. Don't take my word for this though as I may be indeed wrong. One w
