Within the past week I have acquired a Hallicrafters HT-33A and am in the process of restoring it. The amplifier is missing the bottom plate. Now fabricating a new plate is no problem, but I would li

Frankly, you can make you own couplers for just a few cents each from copper tubing that has an inside diameter of 1/4 inch. Cut off a length about 1 inch long and then drill a hole near each end. Th

Have you verified that the meter shunt resistor is fine? The resistors in the HA-10 Warrior tend to go high in value and a high value in the shunt resistor will result in a much higher meter reading.

For accuracy I definitely would use some 1% to 5% resistors in a separate multiplier string. Use considerably higher values in the multiplier string so that they don't act as bleeder resistors. Using

Remove the shield from some solid core RG8/U or RG213/U coax. I have seen several commercial (i.e. "sputtering") linears that use this for the HV lines. It seems to work very well. Now you do not wan

You are thinking of the SB-200 and not the SB-220. The SB-200 (pair of 572B tubes) was rated at 1200 watts PEP input and they generally get about 600 to 650 watts output. The SB-220 (pair of 3-500Z t
