I have a Henry 2KD-5 that I am using on AM running 300 watts. There is a low level but noticeable 120 Hz hum on the unmodulated carrier in CW mode. The hum is super imposed on the AM signal amplitude

It could be 60 Hz. It sounds like 120 though. A local ham with band scope said 60 Hz and not a perfect sine wave. He said it was riding on the signal about 20 dB down. This is an amp I acquired recen

Thanks to all that responded on and off reflector. Problem appears to be cockpit error on my part and fuzzy instructions in manual. I connected the chassis ground(green wire) to 220 V neutral in wiri
