My Titan 1 had some problems. I changed out all the filter caps and left a big space in the pwr supply due to the new ones being much smaller. However, the main fix was to replace the disc caps down

My choice is the Alpha 77DX with two tubes... get it and replace everything inside u can and live the life of a real amp. Second choices.... Anything Alpha except the 87a. Third.... the newest Yaesu

The designation of the 76 line is 76a.... 2 tubes, stock xformer 76PA.... 3 tubes , stock xformer 75PAC... 3 tubes, hypersil xformer. Maybe there was an 76 alone, but maybe the "a" means America.....
