Alpha uses the 8877 in the 9500. I assume Eimac. They use a pair of 4CX1000A Chinese knockoffs in the 8410 manual tune amp. They use a 4CX1500B, I assume Chinese, in the 8406 6m amp. OTOH Ive had no

If I'm not mistaken the Titan, model 425, was designed "WARC ready". It needed a mod to make it work above 23MHz but you say the mod has been done. On 6/30/2013 6:39 AM, Charles Harpole wrote: Please

You are correct. The problem was with the 12V supply, not the 50V supply. Those problems have been eliminated for the most part. The 1300 suffered from a lot of growing pains and bad reviews, thus th

The 600's do work well. The MRF-150 is a tried and true FET. The only problem anybody ever complained about on the 1300 was the low voltage (12V) power supply. It had a ridiculous failure rate for ab

I have always used thick business card stock as a trowel to spread the AS on CPU heat spreaders. A very thin smooth layer of AS that you can see through is all that's needed. Too thick a layer actual

I'll bet Ameritron builds the 1300 and 1306 on the same production line and builds them in batches. I'll also bet the 1306 is out selling the 1300. Ameritron blames production difficulties. Does that
