Just purchased a "Trio" version of a Kenwood TL-922. Upon getting it connected I found that the plate voltage did not rise to 3kv as the operators manual indicated it should when in SSB mode.... thin

Tonight I decided to pull some PM on my Japanese Trio TL-922... Filament voltage 4.8 volts... at the tube pins... thought hmmm... better a little low than a little high? Felt the filament transformer

While on the subject of cooling... I was wondering if anyone knows the airflow specs for the fan on a TL-922 or is aware of a replacement fan that moves as much air but makes less noise... tnx, Ott _
