I am the owner of a pair of PHILIPS (=AMPEREX) YD 1130 with graphite anodes made in France. According to an old PHILIPS tube manual they should be equivalent electrically to the 3-400Z ( max 3000 vol
Hej! Do you really need a stabilized screen grid supply? If the g2 voltage follows relatively slowly the envelope of a SSB signal, you should get a only a slow gain variation in the tube??? You have
Thanks for info. Of course you need always a high frequency screen grid cap or grounded g2. But you did not get my point: if your g2 voltage is slowly following your SSB-signal you do not get envelop
I remember many old tube transceivers that did not have any stabilized g2 voltage in the final and it worked fine. My old TX44XB for example. It sure sounds fine and was once good enough OK for Swedi
The very last ( as far as I know ???) 17.2 kHz Alexandersson transmitter in the world will be on the air January 1st and 2nd 1999. 1200,1230 and 1300 January 1 and 0600 on the 2nd. UTC. There were on
Thanks John: do I remember right that you wrote those articles on screen supplies in K2RIW paralell 4CX250Bs? In the SHORT WAVE MAGAZINE years ago? 73s de Hans -- -- FAQ on WWW: http://www.contesting
When you have visited Grimeton SAQ why not drive across Sweden to se our wonderful Telecommunication Museum in Stockholm? A lot of old brass telephone and telegraph gear made by ERICSSON and others.
Amen and thank you. Now lets discuss G2DAF and super cathode grounded grid amps. 73 de Hans SM5KI -- FAQ on WWW: http://www.contesting.com/ampsfaq.html Submissions: amps@contesting.com Administrative
You have to explain what you mean Robert. I have not been on this reflector long enough to know what you fellows have been discussing earlier. Hej de Hans SM5KI -- FAQ on WWW: http://www.contesting.c

Before talking down the G2DAF circuit I may ask has anybody measured the distorsion in it? Where and when was this published? There is much about the G2DAF in Pat Hawkers TECHNICAL TOPICS SCRAPBOOK 1
Dear Ian: I am just looking into the recent edition of PAT HAWKERS Technical Topics Scrapbook page 109 which is a reprint of the September 1991 issue of RSGBs RADIO COMMUNICATION in which G2DAF says

Yes of course, but the dates I mentioned were not when G2DAF said it but when the information was printed in Technical Topics - and that is something else, hi! By the way: when does the new RSGB hand

Buckshots usually appear the first milliseconds before the ALC in a transmitter reduces the gain. Have been heard from many transceivers barefoot in the past and has nothing to do with the linearity
