Although this sounded silly (to me) at first, I had heard of using a dummy load for 160 mtr contacts. Doubting this would work, I hoisted the dummy load up forty feet or so in the air and worked more

Smells too perfumey, MM oil has petroleum distillates in it. That stuff is the precursor to kerosene, aka stove oil and stoddard solvent which is a cleaning agent. the above stuff IS combustible! 73,

Find a industrial or truck shop, ask for oil for a Ford 8n or 9n transmission and hydraulic fluid. 90w summer, 80w winter, it is pure mineral oil. the smart guys in the shops will know what you want
