I did this same experiment some time back in my Amp Supply LK 500zc. Did it with a 4-250 and 4-400. That amp had 3100 volts idling and I believe a bias zener--don't know the value. Amp keyed with no

Hi everybody, Assuming the same gauge, is a stranded conductor better than a solid conductor [less skin effect loss because of multiple conductor surfaces] at rf? How about at 60hz? Also can someone

are some sense. is the tin being lossier than copper, but tin or copper regular stranded [not litz] has no advantage as to skin effect over same gauge solid tin or copper ? Is this right? Once, and o

I think you need to parallel a known value cap with the inductor, then dip and read frequency. Inductance is then found mathematically. If this is wrong I'm sure someone will correct it. 73, Steve

Those suppressors are different from the conventional type that were in my older AL 600H. Mine had an inductor around a resistor [normal looking suppressor] in the lead immediately above each tube. 7

Hi ampers, While cleaning my Amp Supply LK 500ZC this afternoon I decided to measure filament v. It was 4.64 on 1 tube and 4.68 on the other. Last winter I measured them at 4.79. My voltage runs 245

I'm here to learn too. I found the manual to be very thorough. Maybe they are just being honest. I see no obvious reason why the AL 800H design has anything to do with an Eimac 3cx800 banging. Maybe
