The discussion about HV connectors involved DC power supply fittings, not RF transmission. RG8/U and PL-259's handle lots of power unless horribly mismatched. Actually, I've tested PL-259's at 10 amp

Keep a fire extinguisher handy and it should be no problem. Get rid of the Delrin coil form and replace it with a ceramic type and you won't need the fire extinguisher. C. 7ft of #1 Cu wire is an RF
