- Hi, Guys, I just purchased an HP436A+8481B sensor, but the sensor without 30db attenuator, one of my friend told me that 8481B must use with attenuator together, the attenuator supply bias for 8481B

- The 8481B will work fine without the attenuator but the meter reading will be wrong and you will have to work out your own calibration. The attenuator part is just a plain simple attenuator. steve __
