A lot of transceivers have a problem with the power output. The have a spike when starting to tune. This results in several errors. Did yout check your exciters output? 73 Henk PA5KT WA3GIN schreef:

YUP..I stepped the out put up a watt at a time. This problem appears to be different than the SPIKE issue. In SSB I can insert a tone and adjust output up as well with audio gain. The fault does not
