mike w7dra _______________________________________________ A nice concept except if you live in the Southeast where 20 meters is our bread and butter band....and making very many QSOs on 160 is diffi
The Cal QSO party is a great contest, lots of fun..........but if you want KP4 to count as a mult, work the FQP.....Only six months to go! Bill K4XS _______________________________________________ CQ

I always thought a great idea for a domestic contest exchange would be the ZIP code....kinda like the WPX in terms of all the mults. Casual contesters could figure it out without too much of a proble

40 m is definately a band for CW, just like 160. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Funny you should say that. I made over 900 QSOs in last year's WWSSB, most of them
Having done WWSSB on 40 seriously for a bunch of years, I feel like I have some informed thoughts on this matter. First, for the hardcore CW guys griping about SSB guys transmitting below 7040, they

OK, I worked WP2Z during the contest...the only WP2 station I worked. CT cheated me out of the mult and made it a zero pointer. I know I can readjust my score by two more QSO points and add one mult

Just for fun I went through my first 100 QSOs from this year's SS CW to see what the check was. It was purely the S/P guys calling, since I was just running. Although you can send any number you want
oooops: someone tell me how to get my tongue unstuck from my cheek...... Just because someone has a killer sig, don't assume they are running illegal power. Some of the guys at the bigger stations ha

In the 2003 SS SSB, I made almost 200 QSOs on the second radio. It DID make the difference in a number two and three finish. It is a SKILL that takes many hours to get right. I am still working at it
I was using a crude two radio setup in 84 and 85. I wasn't making many top tens back then but it did help the score. Bill K4XS _______________________________________________ CQ-Contest mailing list
Hell no! Any idiot, once you copy the call, doesn't even have to copy the exchange in WW. NA is a little more challenging. But SS, that's a manly exchange. It is the killer of exchanges to copy. SS a
I think it's important to consider that everyone has a different voice "fingerprint" What works for one guy will not for another. I think the consensus is for the mic to be around 9 and the processor
