every cluster node that I know of has a command to let you suppress receiving spots... and has since very near the beginning. In most of them it is 'set/nodx' David Robbins K1TTT e-mail: mailto:k1tt
Its no secret that mal doesn't like packet or anything to do with it. so he will take any opportunity to point fingers and make packet and those who use it look bad. He said he had lots of examples,
I was asked to provide some 'rules' for the use of the cluster for a particular newsletter. But I think these may help out with wider distribution also, and may have forgotten some along the way. In
Ok, so you have no statistics, only a 'feeling' about coincidences in a very small sample. And even your statements below are not an indication of a problem.... consider the following to be a minimal
I know, we aren't past cqww yet... but I do sometimes plan ahead a little bit. I have no operator signed up to do either mode of ss this year. Anyone interested in doing them here? You could do singl
There are some hf contests that use grids now, but historically hf contesting has been based on things like the dxcc and wae country lists, states, arrl sections, etc. probably because these were mor
Just got cqww cw 2003 certificate from CQ Mag! Of course now I have to figure out what it is for, it first says we won m/m for the US, but then it says #6 in US and #2 in 1st call area. Maybe it was
My station I still available for Sweepstakes CW this year. Anyone interested? You could do SO2R, or play musical chairs, or do a multi op. Your call or mine. David Robbins K1TTT e-mail: mailto:k1ttt@
Ea3je has never been able to hear very well on 160m so he listens cross band. David Robbins K1TTT e-mail: mailto:k1ttt@arrl.net web: http://www.k1ttt.net AR-Cluster node: 145.69MHz or telnet://dxc.k1
I have just added a new tool to my free software page that is made for multi-op contest stations. This is an Excel 2002 spreadsheet for scheduling operators for a multi-op contest station. It uses in
You may beware if you want, but the cty file is correct that ua9s/t are counted as zone 16. This is an extract of an ealier post that contained the definitive answer from k3est... But basically ua9s/
There is no rule that says that anyone on the air has to be valid for dxcc. David Robbins K1TTT e-mail: mailto:k1ttt@arrl.net web: http://www.k1ttt.net AR-Cluster node: 145.69MHz or telnet://dxc.k1tt
The floodgates have definitely opened. 3 more certificates today for 2003 and 2004 cqww's showed up. Yes, my mail service is a bit slow out here in the sticks. David Robbins K1TTT e-mail: mailto:k1tt
Now we are apparently really going to be confused. According to my source who watches this stuff the ua9t/w zone 16 exceptions were removed in a special version of wl_cty.dat at: http://www.k1ea.com/
If you want one that scores ua9s/t/w the same way that the log checkers do you can download it from: http://www.k1ttt.net/n1mm/wl_cty_1505_k1ttt.zip sorry, its only the wl format and will probably on
No, if you work a ua9s and log zone 17 then you do not work another zone 17 you will lose the multiplier. At least if you see the 16 come up you can ask or tell the ua9 what zone he should really be
N1mm(and writelog and other logger) users should note that this change is not in accordance with the contest rules and how the log checkers score the results. this has been confirmed with k3est. the
My purpose in doing this is to help you learn what the rule is and at least give you a chance to log what you are going to get credit for in the scoring. If a kh6 sent you zone 22 what would you do?
It's not a 'CT' thing, nor is it up to ad1c. k3est has stated that ua9s/t/w will be scored as zone 16 no matter what you log. so if you log 17 you will not get credit for them in that zone. David Rob
What I am saying is that the software should always 'suggest' (as ad1c puts it) the correct zone for a station according to the contest rules. If that station insists on sending a different zone I re
