That is a fairly common copying error, at least for me, and seldom corrected. It could also be caused by transmitting too quickly, before the other station has fully switched back to receive. John KK

A running station should not be sending faster than their copying ability, however I agree slowing down (a little) is still good advice to get your callsign copied correctly. Just don't slow down too
