Before the flames start too much on my next comments, understand that I am mainly a CW operator, who is getting interested in the digital modes also. Maybe part of the solution to operating out of ba

I think that we should go below 3700 to 3650 at least. Here is one reason why. On other bands, like 40, 15, 10, and even 20 (without the novice band), the convention is to have 100 kc for CW operatio

Nothing wrong with operating on 21.347 and up a little, unless your sideband extends for another 100 kc-I heard a few close to that last weekend. 73s John NE0P _______________________________________

How does the Icom 746 do as a contesting rig? I am not interested in things like computer control (or problems with it) since I don't do that, just in basic contesting performance. 73s John W5TD ____

Great article! Thanks for sharing it with us. Brought back the memories of dupe sheets (pre computer logging) and having to search for sections since there was no spotting clusters back then. 73s Joh

THanks for all of the comments on the Icom 746 and contesting. I recently picked one up again after owning a 746 from 2000-2002, but no hard core contesting with it back then. Along a similar line, h
