Assisted seems to have less competitors which translates to higher finishes... I most cases if you are chasing spots you are probably not winning. Run run run run run. _______________________________
There are plenty of packet spots that can be received by just opening a web browser. _______________________________________________ CQ-Contest mailing list CQ-Contest@contesting.com http://lists.con
Why should the clusters be turned off? There are legal classes for packet. I think packet allows a great number of non serious hams to get in the contest and work new countries and make contacts that
So now I have to record an entire contest somehow and if by chance my hard drive crashes on the way back to the USA my score does not count.... Why not require all logs to be submitted electronically

Or better yet scan the logs for calls close to yours and submit the card and hope the QSL manager feels that the dxpedition busted the call and send a card anyway. ___________________________________
If the first operator changes the dial and works the station on his own then his class is still assisted in my mind. Packet, 2m spotting network or in shack spotting by another is all assisted. Some
I have to agree with Mark on this one. A lesser op at a great station does not guarantee a win. A great op at a lesser station does not guarantee a win either but my bet is on on the great op beating
After some more research... ARRL's HF Rule states: 2.2.1.Use of spotting assistance or nets (operating arrangements involving other individuals, DX-alerting nets, packet, etc) not physically located
Then call is simply Single OP with Packet and not allow any other form of help period. _______________________________________________ CQ-Contest mailing list CQ-Contest@contesting.com http://lists.c
Kelly, You are correct. How about reducing the power to 100 watts or less for all participants? I wonder how much this would affect the contest. The QSY rule is what makes Sprint special. Mike W0MU -
Can someone confirm to me that this only applies to Multi-op stations?? What is the reason behind this rule? It severely limits a station setup for SO2R that just has a number of different operators.
I saw this too and it was primarily non contesters. I think they were just waiting for the right time and hey it worked! I doubt it was SO2R for most. _______________________________________________
I alternated from keyboard to mouseing. Most of the time I would key the section in if it was a new station in the log. _______________________________________________ CQ-Contest mailing list CQ-Cont

In Montana if you make it past 3 years you will probably stay. It is funny to watch who stays and goes. We have a "Summer" home there. _______________________________________________ ________________
I was curious if anyone knew of software that can be used as a bandscope to monitor a band for activity? _______________________________________________ CQ-Contest mailing list CQ-Contest@contesting.
Everyone is welcome. If you are serious please let me know and I will try to put competitive operators on the same team. We have about 7 operators signed up so far and could use a few more to fill ou
Just a heads up. I was having some problems with my 4sq receiving array and found that the coax was pulling back from the connectors so that there was no contact being made. These were on high qualit
