- My check is 78...it's certainly not the easiest to send or receive, but I stick to it even though sending 75, 77, 79 or 80 might be easier. I keep it the same # for 3 reasons. It *IS* my actual check

- Contesting is about Radioman skills. Having a year-to-year variable check in SS serves to reward those who copy what is sent, not what their computer thinks ought to have been sent. 73, de Hans, K0HB

- I made over 1500 QSOs last weekend and I did my best to log everything that was sent. Between the QRM, both intentional and unintentional, tiredness and distraction of using a second radio I am sure
