They'd just have to let you download a version of the lotwreport.adi file that is signed with an ARRL private key and verifiable with an ARRL public key. *Anyone* could, with minimal software require

True, but remember that Grid Square and IOTA and similar information are submitted by the same person submitting the log. They are not automatically generated by LotW. So what's the difference if I i
