They were not great. I worked only a few Russians and did not work a JA on any band. Lets hope for much better 28 days later for WW SSB! A big part of the game is dealing with whatever the sun gives

Late October certainly changes the sunlight factor. CQWW SSB certainly more popular than the RYRY test. I would say the major fear regarding CQWW SSB is the fact that its going to be exactly 28 or 29

One more anecdotal observation: In the past few years in the Ohio QSO Party as a mobile, I had around 850 QSOs. This past August I had 1470! A few other factors were in play, the State QSO Party Chal

Conditions were poor at my QTH (latitude 42N) on 40m.  Kp fluctuated from high to lower to higher.  I worked hard for a modest score. I certainly hope things are better for the upcoming contests. 73,
