I also see no need for leading zero's. I never sent them. As far as people using them, maybe it's a matter of experience. If enough people copy enough people not using them, it will catch on. Maybe O

I found "PWR?" worked as well as "PREC?" in getting fills during the SS CW contest. -- Eric K3NA [...snip...] 3. What on earth can we do to make "PREC?" easier for more people to understand? If I sho

I just ask P? and only get a 50% responce. If you sent me PREC? I probably would have replied with ? becuase to me the exchange is "NR P CL CK SEC" so if I need a fill, that's what I ask for. 73 de

Yes, "Precedence" is a totally bizarre word anyway. I was guilty of sending CK several times. "PWR?" was immediately obvious. George W1EBI I found "PWR?" worked as well as "PREC?" in getting fills du

I, to, always used to say "pwr?" and that worked fine when the precedence was only a function of power (in the GOOD OLD DAYS). However, this weekend I had such mixed results early on, because I think

Hi All: No, let's not make it part of the number. 46B versus 466?!?!? I used to use "pwr?" as well, but switched to "prec?". Hmmm... that IS what it's called guys. I kinda like "Q?" If you can't hear

Hmmmmm... That implies that PWR also means: PWR = School PWR = Unlimited PWR = Multiop Guess I can live with the social implications of that. Why not just just use what I use in the ARRL DX Contest,

And yet, I found that when I edited the exchange string to put a space between the number and the precedence, (such as "45 Q" rather than "45Q"), I got a lot less requests for repeats and fills. warr

Hey Mark, There's a funny thing about low numbers... You get repeat requests on them... This year, I started SS 4 hours late, at 8pm est... So, when I was at #1, many asked for repeats of my numbers
