You guys forgot a couple of OY's phrases he used to use on 40 AM...no Wet Bottoms (WB prefixes), no school bus riders. . A few years ago, someone told me he died up on top of his tower out near Buffa

Whatley still keeps his license current, but I've not heard him on the air in ages. Hangs out on internet Vietnam vet groups. There was a big difference between W2OY and WA4D. "OY" was an old curmud
