I am going to be using Writelog with Windows XP...XP does not use the lpt ports.  I am trying to find a 4N33 optocoupler to set the keying through the Comm port. I have not been able to find a vendor

I have not used Writelog but my computer running XP has a ZIP drive, printer and scanner on the LPT port and all work fine. Maybe it's a problem specific to the Writelog software when running XP? 73,

I had trouble using optocouplers. They wouldn't key the rig. I went back to a 2N2222 with 1K in the base lead. I tried all the free programs for LPT keying and couldn't get any of them to work. I did
