A KG4 with two letters in the suffix is supposed to be GITMO (Guantanamo Bay Cuba) But the FCC, in a dumb move, issued KG4 calls with a single letter or with 3 letters in the suffix to stateside, US

Guantanamo calls are all 2 by 2 (KG4xx) only and are issued by the Commanding Officer, Naval Base, Gitmo, not the FCC. Two by 1's and 2 by 3's (KG4x - KG4xxx) are continental US only, and ARE issued

If you have the RAC CD do a search by call sign. Type in KG4 and the first one that comes up is KG4A. After KG4A there are 1000's of calls starting with KG4, mostly Techs with KG4 as a prefix and 3 l
