I am playing with the KN50 and the radio has two mc card connectors which one to use? I'm getting crappy results either way and this is still indoors, any help would be apprieciated. Regards Mark McK
Thanks Norm yes the "I" worked although the web interface on the KN50 with this card says poor quality link, put a Orinoco gold card in it and it says adequate even a prism 2 card (sorry Kevin)gives
We are just about to setup a turbocell network in a small town and as a concession to the local community would like to not charge for local data (between users). Only for data from outside can we do
We have just set up a new network so far with 6 clients all with KN 50. I have 2 clients with very high retransmit rates (one is about 50%) but they have good SNR at both ends infact better than othe
We rate limit our customers to a max of 512K so would it be an advantage to reduce the Radio transmit rate to a lower rate and witch end do I do it? As I assume we will get better receive sensitivity
I have a KN200 delivered early December that just puts out power to the header at any temp, but it does now tell me temp in the configurator my old one does not even do that. Regards Mark McKibbin DC
We use prism 2.5 cards in KN50 with no problems except no SNR values on some brands and weird ones on others.....also they work much better than the Dell cards supplied with virtually no failures and
We have them in plastic enclosures and they are working OK at 40 degrees C also they have a mix of Dell and 200mW prism cards Regards Mark McKibbin DCS Internet 64 Queen St Warragul Victoria 3820 Aus
Apart from the wrong SNR values they work well, no lock ups, and we had a hot December. Regards Mark McKibbin DCS Internet 64 Queen St Warragul Victoria 3820 Australia www.dcsi.net.au mark@team.dcsi.

The KN 50 just a board, although it has POE you don't have to use it, you can put a high power card in it so its OK with longer cable runs. Just my 2 cents.. Regards Mark McKibbin DCS Internet 64 Que
