All of you KN gurus out there: Is there a way to REMOTELY upgrade a binfile without losing visibility to the unit in the field? I want to update the SW in our customers units, but whenever I try it,
yes 1. log into the unit via configurator 2. while logged into unit...go to file, and select upload software 3. find the right .bin file 4. import key 5. finish uploading 6. you're all set -Charles A

Dan: The exact process was Open Remote Config, Select Access Point, Password, OK, Open Config Bin File, Import License Key, (BTW, I don't see a place to check "use existing key"), Upload Software. BO
I don't think I've seen anybody here suggesting you should 'OPEN CONFIG BIN FILE' after opening remote config. No. It loses ALL SETUP, and becomes a freshly base booted AP with some funny IP address

John This is not correct way of doing the upload try this: Open remote config, select AP, password, OK, upload software, select clean bin file, import license key, Ok. Have a nice day ;) Sincerely To
