For me, the hardware NB works somewhat but the s/w NB does nothing. As I mentioned in a previous thread, the NR produces audio distortion. Ron N9AU A closer examination, using self generated impulse

signals, or so it seems. They are random, not associated with any signals on the band nor settings of NB and NR. Typical s-meter levels S2 or so. They are there no matter what version I have loaded.

Thanks to all who responded. It appears to be a propagated signal and nothing to do with the Orion II or anything rfi related. Peaks here towards Eu as well and disappeared when MUF dropped after sun
