Just purchased a satellite actuator remote control which the spec sheet inside states it operates on 433.92 MHz. Low power it is and very low duty time on, but curious, is this legal? Ray, W4BYG -- T

Yes. it is used under Part 15. I have an Icom IC-9700. Whats really fun is to have that on the Sat antenna, which is CP, and listen from 433.8 t0 .95. I can hear HUNDREDS of signals. I've even dialed

Part 15 has a section on periodic radiates that permit relatively high power to be used for remote control, weather stations and some warehouse industrial equipment. Yes. it is used under Part 15. I
