Yes , I had a station signing KT5X on cw and continuously calling CQ , etc etc on 7040.0 I WAS there FIRST , however I got the impression he wanted the frequency. I persevered and he evenrually left.

During the RU I found a nice quiet spot on 40 meters. This was early in the afternoon, around 3 pm.... I qrl'd 3 times and then started to contest. The frequency remained reasonably clear for about 7
