I would like to hear from anyone who is successfully keying the FSK and PTT lines via the ACC2 connector on the rear panel of the TS-590SG. What serial adapter and what hardware interface are you usi

Hi David, Thanks for the input. I am bound and determined to get FSK working and plan to try a switching transistor as you suggest. However, I was not aware that AFSK could provide a better and narro

I used an interface very similar to this one (http://www.w3yy.com/fsk.htm) for a few years with my Icom IC-7600. It worked very well when driven by a real RS-232 COM port on a desktop computer. I can

However, I was not aware that AFSK could provide a better and narrower signal than FSK. Only if you are scrupulous in keeping the drive level to the rig below the distortion/saturation point, keep RF

The optoisolator(s) are PC123, the current limiting resistor is 1K. It works fine with +/-5V logic but I have not had occasion to use it with "low power" (+/- 3.3V) ports. 73, ... Joe, W4TV On 2/23/
