Thanks for all the replies. I will have to use that handy Baudot chart in Wikipedia next time. Plus, someone emailed and suggested turning off UOS. What was weird was VY2SS was sending 599 WIE WIE .

I'm wrong... USOS is what you don't want! You want to have upper case (figures) when numbers are sent. You don't need a chat to translate.... Simply look at your keyboard... 599 is TOO. (100 is QPP)
