hi - I currently find myself often guest operating at local 'super' stations for RTTY contests. Since these stations typically do not have RTTY set up, I end up lugging computer, rigs, and even SO2R

But you can buy 2 746pro's for the cost of one 756pro3! I owned a pro2 and it's a sweet rig so its not that I would refuse a double barrel pro3 setup but do you get double the performance for a lugga

I was just addressing weight and volume issues. Yes, the 746PRO is a cheaper radio. And has 2M, also. But it's not significantly lighter or smaller than a 756PROIII, and isn't, in my opinion, as good
