For contests, all I use now is the keying capability built in to TR- log...there are advantages to using it over an external keyer in contests, such as it tracking the speed of automatic keying, and

Much like Lee, who responded earlier, I use the keyer functions that are part of my logging program. In my case I use N1MM Logger. For everyday CW, I use the keyer built into the rig. But I also have

Funny you should mention old keyers. I have 2 from a long ago QST article, except these were built by the author. 1 9 v battery, and 4 memories. And they still work like a charm. 73 Ed
