Thanks, Timo. In this case, no. All the BIOS are the same (and latest) - but some computers work, some don't. Thanks to Bernie, ZS4TX, and Ron, KK1L, think we've narrowed it to the socket/card driver

Tod, Thanks. All that makes sense and am doing that with my older computers (desktops and laptops) that have 'real' Parallel / LPT ports. Haven't used it in a 48 hour contest yet, but all works well
