Hi Tree and everyone: Could we get a control code to do that? :-) 73, Mark, KD4D (and, for the next two weeks, VY2MT) _______________________________________________ Trlog mailing list Trlog@contesti
Good day, everyone: I downloaded TR688 for NAQP. Worked GREAT! The on-deck call problems are gone and it didn't crash once! Thanks, Tree. I also downloaded POST and the two programs from the web site
A "pure", stripped, MSDOS installation also reboots. I tried the POST version with 6.88 and it gave me an error 208. POST version 6.79 worked fine and processed my log. Any ideas? 73, _______________
Good day, everyone: I briefly tried 6.88 with two Orions before SS CW this weekend. It didn't read the frequency from either. I went back to 6.79. I didn't have a chance to try TR RADIODEBUG. The set
Hi everyone: I added "USE IRQS = TRUE" to my logcfg.dat file and started 6.88. I think TR complained about one line in my logcfg.dat file so I removed it. It read and controlled both Orions fine. As
Hi everyone: OK, we expect a K3 at the N3HBX station by the end of the month. How do I get TR to talk to it? Tree? ;-) 73, Mark _______________________________________________ Trlog mailing list Trlo
Good day: I'm going on Thursday to check the CAT connection to a K3 that doesn't seem to be working with CT. Does anyone have a KNOWN GOOD logcfg.dat file they could send me so I start from a working
Hi Tree: Aargh...they've made a rule change to the CQ 160 contest! The non-US/VE exchange is now RS(T) + Zone: 3. The exchange for DX stations has been changed from RS(T) & country to RS(T) and CQ zo
Hi Ed: Thanks, good to be sent back to the manual occasionally! The US/VE folks still send State or Province. Wouldn't this foul that up? RST ZONE AND POSSIBLE DOMESTIC QTH is ALMOST what we want, I
Good day, all: OK, time to take the plunge for Sweepstakes and use 6.88. I'll be connecting to two Orions and may be using at least one serial port from a ByteRunner PCI card using their DOS adapter
Hi Tree: I used 6.90 for CW SS. I don't use Shift Key RIT. I ended up using two K3's and had USE IRQ's off. The program didn't crash all weekend. I noted the bad beam headings - not a big deal in SS.
Hi Allan: I also love TR-Log and still use it. For WAE CW, I DO connect to an internet packet cluster for spots (using telnet). Telnet is the basic protocol for getting packet spots from the internet
Hi Ron: How do I do a Windows share from my MS-DOS machine? :-) Is this layered on top of one of the MS-DOS ethernet interfaces? Are you running TR-Log in a Windows command window? If so, are you als
Aha...THAT would work. Thanks, George. Somehow, that wasn't obvious to me. I appreciate the help. 73, Mark, KD4D _______________________________________________ Trlog mailing list Trlog@contesting.co
Hi Mark: I use a little utility from OK1RR called TRADIF. See http://pir.nnews.ru/pub/hamradio/contest/?S=A Runs fine under MS-DOS or in a Command Window under WindowsXP. 73, Mark, KD4D -- Original m
I noticed no slowdowns with 9.93 on an old Pentium II computer. I am running "smartdrv" which is a disk cache. I suspect that smartdrv may solve your problem. Please try it and let us know. 73, Mark
Hi Paul: When you look at the CD in Windows, do you see a file called "systemrescuecd-x86-1.5.iso"? If so, you didn't burn the CD correctly... Let me know. 73, Mark, KD4D paul@paul-hicks.ca wrote: __
Hi Paul: GREAT! Any suggestions for improving the documentation on how to do the dual-boot? Mark _______________________________________________ Trlog mailing list Trlog@contesting.com http://lists.c
HI Martin: FreeDOS certainly works well. It is not trivial to install on a WindowsXP machine, though, unless you want to destroy the Windows installation and re-install. It CAN be done, by resizing
Hi Paul: Another option is to create a bootable CD which will work on most reasonably modern BIOS's (probably since 1998 or so). You can do this starting with a floppy disk image. I wrote up a proced
